Cooking food with my group was one of my favorite memories from this trip. I had trouble figuring out how to cook taco meat for dinner the first night. With help from my cooking partner and some other group members, I was able to cook dinner for everyone in my group. I am grateful to my group for assisting me when I really needed it. Another one of my favorite memories was finding little tree frogs. They were easy to catch but it was difficult to avoid stepping on them. I enjoyed catching frogs with my friends and watching them hang out on the outside of other tents. (I could not upload the photos to my website) The first draft of my photo essay was a brain dump. I wrote down the best memories I had from the trip and tried to find photos with me in them. After failing to find pictures of me, I just used pictures with people in my group. After writing the first draft, I looked over my photo essay and rewrote parts of the essay that did not make sense to me. I continued to revise my work until I felt it was good enough to turn in. Content: I feel that I would deserve a 4 out of 5 for my work. I did not make the descriptions long, but I did try my best to describe the photos. Style: I feel that I would deserve 4 out of 5 for this, because I did not ask other people what they thought of my essay. Sentence Variety: I think I would deserve 4 out of 5 for this, because I tried to use a larger vocabulary to make my sentences more interesting. Usage and Mechanics: I feel that I would deserve a 4.5 out of 5. I think I am fine at spelling and grammar, and I looked over my work a lot to see if it was grammatically correct. I also attended the exhibition at Barnes and Noble, where I spoke to other students about my retreat experience. I do not like to talk to people that much, but it was nice to talk to others about my favorite memories of our camping trip.
